Simple Sentence

For school we had to describe what a simple sentence is: a simple sentence is a sentence that uses a subject and a verb.

It is not a simple sentence if it has a joining word like 'and' in it. That is how you write a simple sentence.

Here are my examples:

  1. George licked a piece of ice.
  2. Mr Brown picked his nose.
  3. Sally ate Mr Brown’s booger.
  4. The carrot escaped Oscar.
  5. Robert was a sore loser.
